Royal platinum wedding anniversary

The queen and prince philip to celebrate
70 years of marriage

A significant date for all followers of the British Royal Family is November 20th 2017.  On this day, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II will celebrate an incredible 70 years of marriage with Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh.

This Royal Platinum Anniversary will be keenly anticipated by collectors of Royal Souvenirs, Commemoratives and Memorabilia.

Royal Platinum anniversary commemoratives

Our fine bone china collection of four classic commemorative pieces is made in Stoke on Trent to our exclusive design. We have selected a charming photograph of the Queen and Prince Philip in an open carriage enjoying one of their shared passion – horse racing! The image has captured them looking happy and relaxed - it's a perfect centrepiece to the design. The pretty floral border design in pinks and blues blends with ribbons and powder grey doves and bells to reflect the celebratory occasion. The plate, tankard and covered box all feature a commemorative inscription within a heart shaped panel and are issued in very small limited editions.

We believe that this event will be greeted by the launch of a wide range of royal memorabilia from the world’s leading brands.

The Queen, who is 91 years of age and the 95 year old Duke were married in 1947 at Westminster Abbey, a full 5 years before The Queen ascended the throne, following the death of her father.

Royal watchers are expecting there to be big celebrations within the Royal Family, with multitudes of well-wishers keen to congratulate the couple by sending presents and cards to celebrate the event.

Just as with for The Queen and Prince Philip’s Diamond anniversary, their Platinum anniversary is likely to comprise a service of thanksgiving at Westminster Abbey, with dignitaries from acros the globe attending.

It was in 2007 that The Queen became the first British monarch to reach her Diamond wedding anniversary. Now, very soon she will be celebrating an even more significant occasion, celebrating a milestone 70 years of marriage.
